Currently, I am in the spring of my senior year at Grove City College, studying Spanish and Communications. I live in a small but very cute apartment with my three roommates, Jayna, Jen, and Alana. We love pink, hot drinks, being involved in our sorority, and frequent trips to CeCe’s, our favorite ice cream store in Grove City. Not exactly your typical half marathon material.
Before this whole training thing started, I guess I would have been what you’d call passive when it comes to athletics. Oh sure, I played on the field hockey team, and enjoyed the occasional elliptical session at the gym, but was never one of those fitness gurus who walk around in gym shorts and ice packs, never missing a day at the gym. Until this week, that is.
Well, my roommates and I thought that 2011 would be the perfect time to do something we’ve always wanted to do, but never thought we could: run a half marathon. We’re signed up to run at Cook Forest on April 2. This blog is a record of the adventures, soreness, and other mishaps that occur as we embark on this fitness endeavor.
